A Culture of Reason
Aside from the academic benefits, a major value of Objectivist campus clubs is that they facilitate individuals forging relationships based on shared rational values. LOGIC is more than a group of individuals studying and promoting Objectivism--it is a microcosm of tomorrow’s culture of reason. By applying Objectivist principles to their own lives, LOGIC members exemplify the prosperity and happiness possible to an individual who lives by reason.
Today, LOGIC members are more than acquaintances who meet once per week. They are close friends, classmates, roommates, significant others, co-workers, and even gym partners! Beyond membership in a campus club, they will cultivate and expand their connections in their future careers and professional lives. Like a work of uplifting art, LOGIC shows how the world might and ought to be.
Although not officially part of our programs, LOGIC social events--whether dinners at restaurants, beach trips, or movie-going--are natural and almost automatic corollaries of our other programs and help build meaningful relationships that will last well beyond the college experience.
